Kora Hanrahan, Chair

Kora Hanrahan moved to Pictou from Newfoundland in 2002 to continue her dental career at Shiretown Dental Clinic with her partner and husband Ed Hawkins. They have made Pictou their home working side by side and raising 2 children.  They feel fortunate to have been embraced by such a wonderful community and have been inspired to contribute to the growth of Pictou County.

Stacey Dlamini, Secretary

Stacey has a background in project management and community development, and has worked in and led not-for-profit organizations in South Africa and Canada. She is currently Director of the Pictou County Continuous Learning Association (PiCCoLA). She resides in Pictou with her husband Buhle and is a mom to four wonderful young people. She is pleased to be able to contribute to positive health outcomes in the community she calls home.

David Fulmore, Director

David has been a resident of Pictou since 1987. He and his wife opened Fulmore’s PharmaChoice in 1996 ,which they continue to operate to this day. He is very pleased to be able to serve on the Sutherland Harris Memorial Hospital Foundation Board, which helps fund many projects in their community. 

Jeff Gunn, Director

Jeff lives in Elmfield with his partner, Valerie Smith (they have four children). Jeff enjoys spending time with family, fly fishing, golf, and the outdoors. Jeff was born and raised in Pictou West where he operated a business for many years, served as a municipal councilor, and has sat on several volunteer boards and committees. Jeff has always believed in the importance of community, and he feels that serving on the Sutherland Harris Memorial Hospital Foundation provides an opportunity to be a part of strengthening the health, wellness and viability of the community.

Susan MacDonald, Director

Susan MacDonald is currently a stay at home mother, after having run a couple businesses. She has lived in the community for most of her life and loves living here.  She enjoys doing in-school mentoring through Big Brothers, Big Sisters and is an active member of Pictou County Highland Dance Association. She is excited to be part of a group supporting the incredible projects throughout Pictou West.  

Hayley Russell, Director

Hayley was born and raised in Pictou and recently returned to the community after spending 15 years in Minnesota. She is a faculty member in Human Kinetics at St. Francis Xavier University, where her work focuses on sport and exercise psychology. Hayley is honoured to serve on the Sutherland Harris Memorial Hospital Foundation Board to contribute to initiatives that strengthen health and wellness throughout Pictou West.

Clare Steele, Director

Clare Steele was born and raised in Pictou and is the Active Communities Coordinator for the Municipality of Pictou County. Clare is passionate about life in Pictou County and making our beautiful corner of the world a healthier place to live and play. In her spare time Clare can be found teaching yoga, paddling, or on a hiking trail with a couple of four-legged sidekicks

Kelly Joudrie, Director

 Kelly Joudrie was born and raised in Pictou.  His dad, as a construction worker, worked on the Sutherland Harris Hospital. He currently live in Central Caribou with his partner. They raised three children in Central Caribou with the help of the Sutherland Harris Fund and Hospital.

Kelly says he feels privileged to sit on this board.  The health and well being of our community is essential; and he thinks he can contribute experience and knowledge to aid the board.
